How to Add TikTok Banner Officially
Steps for the native TikTok profile banner when the control is available, and what to do if it is missing.
TikTok has been rolling out a native profile banner (background behind the avatar and bio). Not every account has the control yet.
When the option is available
- Open TikTok and go to your profile
- Tap Edit profile (or the pencil icon)
- Look for Change background, Banner, or similar near the top of the edit screen
- Select a photo or GIF from your gallery
- Crop to fit the banner area and save
Keep the official app updated from Google Play or the App Store. Even with the latest version the control can still be missing until TikTok enables it for your account. Larger accounts often receive the feature earlier.
If the control is missing
